In this mini case-study, Josh (Head Mentor of the EF Shopify Course) breaks down his Facebook Ad Strategy into three main phrases:
Phase one is all about trying to build the foundation and finding audiences. As there’s no data collected at this point, there’s a lot of guesswork here to find winning audiences and combinations. Your ad spend here is pretty low.
Phase two begins when some of your ‘guess work’ audiences from phase 1 are becoming slightly profitable. This phase is all about creative testing - making tweaks to the creative of your ads to unlock winning combos. Finding new hooks, new marketing angles, and testing it on your audience.
This is a time to be patient until you find something that works really well - it’s all about building the foundation.
Phase three begins when your ads start becoming relatively profitable and the ROAS is consistent- then you can ‘graduate’ your winning combinations and start to rapidly scale ad spend.
Josh opens up his own Facebook Ad account and walks you along each of these three phases with examples, specific ad spend/ ROAS numbers, etc.
