A fatal shooting outside a southern Indiana homecoming festival was "heartbreaking" and "tragic," according to that city's mayor.

New Albany police say an 18-year-old high school student was caught in the crossfire when other people started shooting outside the Harvest Homecoming festival on Saturday.
