DreamWorks’ MoonRay, a high-end production path tracer used in feature films like "The Wild Robot" and "Bad Guys 2," is now available as a snap on Ubuntu.

In this talk, Randy and Ken explain how the MoonRay Snap simplifies installation, manages dependencies, and provides a reproducible environment for artists and developers. The snap works on Ubuntu 24.04, 25.10, Rocky Linux, and WSL, making it easier than ever to use MoonRay outside DreamWorks’ internal pipeline.

🌍 Ubuntu Summit 25.10 is a showcase for the innovative and the ambitious.
