Today I take you to the Wallkill River Rail Trail in Gardiner, NY to photograph late afternoon scenes in infrared (using an infrared filter) and sunset. I also walk you through my editing workflow process for two of the images to show how I handle editing a monochromatic infrared photo as well as how to manage dynamic range in a sunset using a single exposure and taking advantage of ISO invariance to get a well-balanced photograph. All images created using a Fujifilm X-T2 camera with 16-55 f/2.8 and 10-24 f/4 lenses on a Feisol Tournament tripod with Acratech ballhead. Edited in Adobe Lightroom, Adobe Photoshop, NIK Color Efex, NIK Viveza and Topaz Impression.
