Shocking Encounter: Shooting Right Outside My Ecuador Apartment
In this video, I discuss my recent experiences in Ecuador, focusing on safety concerns and the current state of crime. Despite previous assurances about the safety of living in Ecuador, a recent incident has shaken my confidence. On May 17th, I was startled awake by two gunshots outside my apartment. Upon investigation, I discovered that a man had been shot in his pickup truck by robbers on a motorcycle. Thankfully, he survived, but the lack of a thorough police response was deeply concerning.
Throughout the video, I share my personal observations and frustrations about living in Ecuador. I talk about the improvements made by the new government in tackling crime, but also highlight ongoing challenges, including this recent shooting and past personal encounters with violence. I provide footage of the incident and discuss my mixed feelings about safety and stability in the country. Despite these issues, I remain committed to sharing my experiences and insights about life in Ecuador with you all.
