This lets you climb Shiver Mountain without a boot upgrade.
The initial position is pretty precise, and tbh I don't know a consistent setup. I was using Mario's mustache, but it didn't work 100% of the time. The analog stick angle to hold after hopping on Laki is pretty much right in between the right and up-right notches, also somewhat precise. You can start holding it anytime during the fall, but make sure to let go as soon as you pop back up. Always hold some angle though, because if you pop back up with a neutral stick there's a chance of softlock.
