Cottonee can evolve into Whimsicott at any time as long as you have a Sun Stone. You can even evolve it at Lv. 1!
But watch out, because after you evolve you'll miss out on a lot of moves it could have learned as Cottonee, such as Stun Spore and Cotton Guard. So be sure you're ready to evolve before you use your Sun Stone.
Normal Cottonee has green leaves and orange eyes.
Shiny Cottonee has orange leaves and green eyes.
I used to like the orange color but as I was training it, I started to dislike it to the point I hated it. It just clashes with the Pokemon, dunno why. I usually like this stuff, but this is one case I didn't.
Normal Whimsicott has a brown body and green horns/ass.
Shiny Whimsicott has a nearly black body with solid white cotton and blue horns/ass.
Fortunately I enjoy this coloration quite well.
I love this Pokemon!
