Okay, so let me tell you something you probably didn't know about me: I LOVE Sabrina Carpenter and her music. I have been a fan of hers since June of 2024, when I first heard her world-conquering smash hit, "Espresso." Her 2024 album, Short n' Sweet, is my favorite album of that year, and one of my favorite albums of the 2020s decade so far.
That being said, my favorite song of hers is not from that album, but rather her follow-up album, Man's Best Friend. After watching her performance of her hit song, "Manchild" on The Muppet Show Special on Disney+, I knew I had to make a Shining Time Station music video parody based on that song, and featuring the one and only Schemer!
I tried to make sure each lyric fit the lyrics in some way or another. Also, I used the clean version of the song in which she says "It's my life" rather than "Fuck my life". Not because I'm opposed to cursing (I'm not, far from it), but because I don't believe that profanity would fit well with Shining Time's aesthetic.
I hope you guys enjoy this video. It was a lot of fun to make, and if this becomes successful, who knows? I might do more of these types of videos in the future.
