Shining Force 2 is often described as where the Shining Force series peaked, but now that we have Shining Force 3 in English I'm not so sure about that. I'll have to play it to be sure, but nonetheless, this is an excellent experience that I don't have much more to elaborate on. If you're a fan, you know it's good, if you're not you should give it a shot.
I'll be trying to cover the original Shining Force series in chronological order, with the only exception being Shining in the Darkness because that game might kill someone with the everlasting every battle strobe lights, and made my blood pressure skyrocket with how grindy it is.
Shining Force II was on the Sega Genesis/Megadrive in #1993 in Japan and then #1994 everywhere else. Copying from the Shining Force wikipedia to save myself a bunch of clicking, this also released on:
Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 and Sega Genesis Classics for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. It's also #wii, on #nso, and finally it's of course on #steam.
This was recorded from #October 29th to #november 6th #2024. This part was specifically finalized on November 7th. My unedited footage here!:
