It is totally amazing to see Grappelli going for more than 30 seconds through a solo introduction and it appears that none in his group knows where he is going and suddenly he quadruples his tempo and falls in that simple but beautiful and classic jazz tune called Shine.
This was recorded in 1988 celebrating his 80th birthday. He is accompanied by the English guitarist Martin Taylor (left), bassist Jack Sewing and the French guitarist Mark Fosset.
