On Valentine’s Day (2021), Shield Toad arranged and recorded a lo-fi bedroom metal cover of Sonny and Cher’s “I Got You Babe” with a 6-track cassette deck. A live mix was performed while transferring from the tape. The whole thing only took a few hours. Then a week later, we filmed a simple one-shot video in a single take, with the same model video camera as Marty McFly uses in Back to the Future (actually the PAL version). The song’s audio was run into an old analog oscilloscope, and its screen was filmed to produce the waveform you see in the video.
