The Alachua County Sheriff’s Office now has body-worn cameras. This useful tool will protect the deputies and our community we serve and preserve valuable video evidence. These cameras also remove the limitations of our previous in-car cameras system, which only used to capture footage around our patrol vehicles.
This footage shows the brave efforts of our deputies and Alachua County Fire Rescue firefighters as they rescued a woman in a smoke filled apartment. Look forward to more videos as we use them more and more.
