Shenmue (1999) for the Dreamcast is one of my favourite games, and I was due a revisit! But I've already played it on the channel once, so... I figured I'd try something new for this one! This is 15 and a half hours of brand new footage replaying the game on the original Dreamcast version, which I'd argue has a wholly unique vibe to it unlike anything else!

Shenmue is a game where you're left to play detective in 1986 Yokosuka, Japan after your father is murdered by the mysterious Lan Di in the family dojo one evening. Seeing revenge, Ryo Hazuki embarks out on the nearby area in an attempt to find Lan Di and take revenge.

This video also features minimal cuts to the gameplay during the downtime during certain parts, so the entire experience really is intact! I really enjoyed putting this video together, and I hope that even if you're not familiar with the game, that you'll enjoy the video regardless!
