Shenmue The Movie provides a higher quality audio mix with uncompressed voices straight from the game. But in some scenes the voices have been changed to slightly different wording or pronunciation.

The footage for Shenmue The Movie is based on the Japanese game and as such uses that versions lip synching. For the English dub they had to make some adjustments here and there. Some of the changes are quite obvious, while other are extremely subtle. In some cases the changes seem rather unncessary and not bound to the different lip animations.
I did not include the minor grunts that have been added during fights and QTEs, nor any case where the dialogue was simply shortened or played with a different timing. The video does however have all the instances where the voice audio is actually changed.
