not the greatest puzzle I've ever encountered in a game that's for sure. But here is the solution for the Bell Tower puzzle in the village square in Bailu Village for Shenmue III

Hand - goes with fist
Stew - Patron liquor
Circle thing - crescent with same pattern
Shield - sword
Turtle - Bird I think
Phoenix - Dragon
