The Sheffield City Battalion was a Pals Battalion
Volunteers, recruits come from all walks of life.
During its short life, more than 3000 local men served in the Battalion. And of those almost 700 were killed or died of wounds. Battalion last veteran Reg Glenn died in 1994 at age of 104.
