On July 16, 2022, Tracy Murphy saw two young stray cows wandering onto her property, adjacent to a busy road in upstate New York. She gave the cows food, water, and shelter and called the SPCA. What happened in the next few years is so bizarre and outrageous – from police raids to hidden cows sent to slaughter – that it's hard to believe.
