For a long time, Victoria believed Jesus was just the God of the Christians. She never imagined He could have anything to do with her.
Born in Siberia and raised in a secular Jewish family, faith simply wasn’t part of the conversation. In fact, Victoria didn’t really begin to understand her own Jewish identity until she was 12 years old. She knew very little about God, and even less about Jesus.
But as she began reading the Scriptures for herself, something unexpected happened.
She discovered that Jesus was Jewish.
She discovered that His story was deeply connected to the Hebrew Scriptures.
And she began to wrestle with an idea she had never seriously considered before: What if Jesus really was the Messiah the Jewish prophets had spoken about?
Then her questions became something more than intellectual. Victoria began to experience the love of God for herself, and everything she thought she knew began to change.
This is Victoria’s story of discovering her Jewish identity, encountering Jesus in the Scriptures, and finding a Messiah she once believed belonged to everyone but her.
