In this emotional and devastating investigation, I traveled to Kansas City, Missouri to meet with a woman whose entire family was taken from her in a horrific house fire more than 40 years ago.
The fire wasn’t an accident—it was an act of violence. According to reports, a group of men threw Molotov cocktails through her family’s windows over a street debt, instantly engulfing the home in flames. Twelve people were inside. Only six survived.
Among those lost were her two young children—ages 2 and 3—her grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and baby cousin. The woman herself was pulled from the burning house by firefighters, losing her grip on her children’s hands as she was being rescued.
Now, decades later, she just wants to hear from her family again. Using a spirit box, we reached out—and what came through was heartbreaking, powerful, and full of love.
