Speedrun.com rules for timer pauses: "In solo, players will have the option to pause after dropping from 1st encounter as soon as their last input is made after hitting "The Descent" load zone (whatever comes last), with the timer unpausing after a few seconds in order to avoid objective softlock. In addition, players will also have the option to pause as soon as their feet hit the ground outside the doorway leading to Vorgeth, unpausing after a few seconds to allow the checkpoint to update."
