The Myrtle Beach, South Carolina area is famous for sharks, and we finally saw one (actually two! 😮). We were visiting Surfside Beach and Garden City Beach, south of Myrtle Beach along the Grand Strand, and while enjoying the pier at Garden City Beach, they all of a sudden appeared. But come watch the video and discover that there's way more than sharks in this area. Surfside Beach and Garden City Beach are lovely beach communities in South Carolina. Driving from Myrtle Beach, we first stopped at The Market Common for some donuts. The other half of the day is coming up in the next vlog.

Myrtle Beach, in South Carolina, is located in an area known as the Grand Strand, where you find a 60-mile continuous beach from the border with North Carolina until one-third of the state coast. Myrtle Beach is the main city and the center of the Grand Strand, but along the coast, you find many nice beach communities, more laid-back. We just spent 4 months in Myrtle Beach and got pretty familiar with the city. In this area, you can find some of the main South Carolina beaches.
