Greeting my stationery friends,
Another week into Hobonichi season…the weather is getting cold here, and I’ve been looking thru my older covers. I’ll go over each one and then I have a few to destash near the end of the video.
As you may know there is a part II to this launch fiasco…I haven’t been able to pin-point exactly what happened but I guess no one really knows? There are speculations only so far. I’ve been getting feedback from the community that because not all items has a consistent price increase, it may not entirely be a currency exchange rate error but that Hobonichi also raised the prices for other reasons.
Either way, what it means for me is that my Hobonichi is going to be more expensive going forward. Could it be due to their growing demand or that customers are eating the cost of their USA expansion? Or is it just inflation? Did they expand too fast? All these questions pop up in my mind. I’ll be naive and take their word for it for now - that it’s a currency exchange rate error.
Hobonichi has always listened to their customers in the past and I’ve been impressed by their level of customer service too. Let’s please not forget that!
