My experience with this level was not really the best. Despite this, this is my new favourite level in the game. (edit: this statement is not true) There really is no other level like Shardscapes. The level has amazing deco, atmosphere, and extremely satisfying gameplay which fit my skillset very well, timings. No ship, no wave.
I first started playing it for fun just to see if the gameplay was as good as the deco. I quickly did 66-100 on my first day of playing, and 41-100 about a week later. Since most victors say that 42-54 is the hardest part by miles, I didn't think it would take much longer. I was wrong. I found the entire level to be about the same difficulty, with difficult chokepoints thoughout the level. But the part that took the longest to get consistent with by far was the predrop. Maintaining consistency on this level is so extremely difficult. Sometimes you pass the predrop every 5 minutes, sometimes you get nothing for half an hour. After a long time however, the entire level gets extremely consistent to the point of getting to the 50's and 60's often. My experience could have been so much worse however, I am SO shocked I fluked it since the level's end is so hard. Somehow, I never got bored playing from 0. I found the level's gameplay to be fun and really satisfying to pull off. It was more frustrating, since I was so inconsistent sometimes. I found myself losing motivation to play from 0 often and I considered dropping the level entirely several times. I am very glad I pulled through with this level, I'm genuinely so happy to have finally beaten this.
