Simple, sweet story. Jim and Melody are hanging out, chatting. Jim activates an orb, which twists Melody into a mermaid. Naturally embarrased, Melody slips away thinking Jim wouldn't care about her. He tells her contrarywise that no matter what, she's still the same person.
