Pirates of the Caribbean: Battle for the Sunken Treasure is undeniably one of the mega star attractions of Shanghai Disneyland.
Unlike the other Pirates rides around the world, the boats are not free floating instead, although the boats are in water, it's actually a magnetic powered dark ride.
It's very much based around the film series with a different storyline from previous Pirates of the Caribbean attractions.
The ride opened along with the rest of the park on June 16, 2016. Walt Disney Imagineering designed the attraction and Industrial Light & Magic created the computer-generated visual effects.
