Richard III opening scene, Now is the Winter of our Discontent, explained in depth.
This is part of my Shakespeare explained series.

The opening soliloquy to Shakespeare's Richard III, starting with the words, "Now is the winter of our discontent made glorious summer by this sun of York" is amongst the most famous of Shakespeare's speeches. We begin with some historical background from the Wars of the Roses before jumping into Richard III opening soliloquy.
