British Columbia is one of the most active seismic faults in the world, with over several thousand earthquakes recorded annually. Devastating quakes in Japan, Taiwan, Turkey, New Zealand + Indonesia have made it clear how important it is to be prepared to mitigate negative outcomes. The most at-risk regions of B.C. are those along the west coast where there is also a high risk of a tsunami.
