Today, I'm presenting an old 3D game from Origin and Raven Software in which the main character can transform into seven different forms to overcome obstacles and enemies. ShadowCaster is somewhat reminiscent of Heretic and Hexen and also uses an engine from id Software's John Carmack. Unfortunately, I couldn't finish the game this time because it kept crashing at one point, otherwise I could have shown you all the enemies.
There were two versions of the game: a floppy disk version from 1993 and a CD-ROM version from 1994. The latter used rendered cutscenes and voice acting, had two new levels, and a few new enemies. Personally, I prefer the hand-drawn cutscenes of the original. In addition to the cinematics, I'll also show you some gameplay.
