Shadow the Hedgehog's Story DESTROYED MY HEART. Sonic x Shadow Generations tells an unseen story from Shadow's perspective where he faces his past demons, and angels. Shadow reunites with Maria, his best friend, and Professor Gerald Robotnik, his father (for all intensive purposes). Shaodw's struggles with protecting the world and honoring Maria's wish come into conflict when the possibility to save Maria herself.

Shadow's story is painful to witness as the world just does not ever seem to throw him a bone. Meanwhile, Sonic the Hedgehog over in Sonic Generations is as happy and bright as can be with barely any issues whatsoever. Sonic and Shadow couldn't be more different from each other.
