Great song and great singer.
My first recorded attempt at distortion/screaming and I am not particularly good at it as is evident.
Plus Chris Cornell had quite the one of a kind voice so hard to try and emulate.
There's just something about my vocal tone, particularly when adding grit/distortion at higher pitch that I don't like. It sounds off and hitting horrible, raspy EQ peaks that I can't seem to soften.
As usual the drums and bass are watered down versions of the proper versions, guitar came out ok though.
The whammy solo looks entirely out of sync due to the fact that the pitch was being manipulated by my pedal so looks like I'm not playing it right but that is genuinely the video of the recorded take.
Not that he would probably thank me for this given how not great the vocals are but I have to thank @chrisliepe for helping me 'find my voice' particularly in terms of not being afraid to make weird noises to get the sounds I'm trying to get and improve the distortion in my voice from where I started. Still a long way to go but his channel has been absolutely invaluable.
