The NES was never as big in the UK as it was elsewhere. I bypassed it completely, so I have a big gap in my experience in that I have never really, properly played the NES.

I have decided to rectify this and try out as many NES games I can for the first time, while recording my impressions and opinions. I'm too lazy to read instruction manuals, so you'll see me gloriously fumbling around trying to work out what to do. Also, I'm getting older and my focus is not what it used to be, so expect me to fail. A lot.
