This was pointed out to me by a very solid and dedicated fan, speed runner (and an expert to boot) 'Jaikhay' who first noticed this in the PS4 version. So I used the PAL PS2 version to make this video (which the PS4 version is based on).
Took a long time watching Agro trot around the temple waiting for the horse to visit Mono. I kept changing Wander's position and trying again, until finally after many hours of work I found the sweet spot where Agro would mount the stairs and stop in front of Mono's altar!
However, from Wander's perspective at the back of the temple you couldn't see what was happening, so that's why I shifted the camera to Mono in the video.
