I love the matte finish of Finnabair’s gesso. While it’s great for helping you add other paints and mediums to any surface, it does make a fabulous matte paint all on its own! Because it is so matte, it really sets off the sparkle in the touches of Graphite Paste and Metallique Waxes, creating beautiful contrast.
🖤 By adding soft vellum, white and grey flowers, this “greyscale” canvas has a very ethereal quality to it! I hope that you enjoy this little layering tutorial and that it inspires you to use your gesso as a matte paint.
