The theme of Graphite from my universe of "The Last Soldier." For the uninitiated, Graphite is an alien from the far-off planet of Kheji. With a stern and stubborn nature, he's dedicated to protecting Kheji from any and all threats, often using lethal force to do so. "Sforzando" is the name of Graphite's self-invented fighting technique -- as it means "with sudden force," the music-based term perfectly encapsulates how the technique works.
This song was developing in my head for about a month or two. It was initially meant to be a theme for a different character, Sketch Tucker, if he were implemented in a Mega Man-styled game. However, it didn't seem to fit his character; it did, however, feel right at home for Graphite. Regardless, the Mega Man song style is pretty obvious, with only a few small details inspired by Sonic and old Treasure games.
