Lightning McQueen, having found a new body/chassis, contemplates the loss of his imposter. Mater and Lightning McQueen had switched bodies via engine transplantation, and the Lightning McQueen that died in the trailer was actually Mater. Faced with this loss, and the additional more important fact that he can't fly, McQueen is suddenly filled with determination, and starts flying through sheer force of hatred alone. Neptune, CPU of Planeptune, notices that this hatred-powered flying process could endanger the existence of the universe as we know it, so she contacts Mikazuki Augus of Tekkadan to take McQueen down. Mikazuki, piloting the ASW-G-08 Gundam Barbatos, reaches McQueen and eliminates the target, whose final thoughts are that he will clearly go sailing no more.
