A Source Filmmaker remake of an old Left 4 Dead machinima called "Meet Con" and one of my many side projects. Originally made by a group of Left 4 Dead "Let's Play" players called "Kilplix N' Friends", I was allowed to remake the video after asking permission from Con himself and the sample I showed him was met with wide approval from the rest of the gang. Majority of the scenes were gameplay footages, with the original sounds playing in the back, so that explains the occasional scene-jumping and the high volumes of screaming. On the bright side, the screaming had been MUCH louder in older videos of them.

For those unaware of Kilplix N' Friends, they were a group of players who primarily focused on Left 4 Dead when the game was at the peak of its popularity. Their popularity stems (at least, in my opinion) from the randomness and the lack of scripted acting for their funny moments and how some of them have their own gimmicks (which is the closest they ever get to acting before making the original "Meet Con").

For example: Con/Francis is a pyromaniac with a nasty tendency to hurt teammates accidentally while Jed/Bill enjoys sabotaging his teammates intentionally, normally Con, but sometimes faces karma unexpectedly while trying to escape with his deed. The group gained a sizable amount of subscribers and they eventually moved on to Left 4 Dead 2.

However, the group suffered a huge fallout with group founder, Kilplix (at least, I think he was the founder), and the rest of the group moved away from him. Kilplix was left with the group's entire fanbase while the rest was left with none. Kilplix stopped playing Left 4 Dead but Con, together with Cody, Jed and a bunch of their own friends, continued and still upload funny Left 4 Dead videos to this day.

Con helped me kickstart my Youtube channel by being the first to comment on my first Left 4 Dead machinima, bringing his fans along to me. His fans became my fans and several years later, I've reached about the same amount of subscribers Kilplix N' Friends used to have. Making this video is my way of showing how much I appreciate the laughter he and his friends have given me and to thank him for helping me with my Youtube channel. I am essentially returning the favor.

Naturally, due to the fallout with Kilplix, any scenes involving Kilplix in the original "Meet Con" was cut out in favor of newer gameplay footages from Con's channel. Once again, here's the link to Con's channel if you're interested in his Left 4 Dead videos:

Now, perhaps I can help in the creation of Meet Jed. The release of the Meet Jed video is one of the very few promises the gang did not manage to keep. I can fix that for them...
