Its time, 2021 King Salmon fishing has opened in the greater San Francisco Bay Area! We have three great options in my area to launch your boat to catch your own salmon, Half Moon Bay, out the Golden Gate Bridge or Bodega Bay. I chose Bodega Bay for the opener because the wind and swell were not forecasted to be good. Bodega Bay offers to me the shortest drive on the boat to get to the salmon grounds. I hope you enjoy this video on fishing the salmon opener 2021 in the San Francisco Bay Area. As Salmon season is starting that means crab season is coming to an end. I dropped my last crab pot of the season for dungeness crab. As you will see it started off bad and it was a tough bite. We started the day off catching so many black cod. I got very good underwater footage with my gofishcam of both the black cod and a school of salmon. We ended with big smiles and success. Thanks for watching.
