Hello Friends!
I have finished sewing some regency short stays! This video covers the construction, fitting, and binding of the stays and also has a HUGE chat in the middle (I did you give you a time stamp to jump to should you want to skip that!).

Regency short stays were a short-lived garment that came between the conical shape of the 18th century stays, but before the Victorian Corset was invented. They are fairly straight in shape and are mostly to give you smooth lines and support the bust underneath all of those sheer dresses. The bust point during regency was pretty high compared with modern garments and are the epitome of "lift and separate"!
