in this lounge chair (design 1956) by charles and ray eames i often sit and think about new ideas or watch youtube. my parents bought it over 50 years ago and gave it to me 20 years ago. The leather is no longer beautiful and torn on the seat too.
I have him restored by vitra. cost around sfr 4000.--
I cut out the old leather and sew a tote bag for my macbook pro and its utensils. The leather is not so thick and can also be sewn on a normal sewing machine. I've used the pad knobs again so you can see it comes from an eames lounge chair. You can also sew the tote bag from other leather. It is really easy! MUCH SUCCESS IN MAKING!
