Before we continue with the Bridgerton gown we're doing Micah's costume first, so this week I'm sharing how I made his pirate-y undershirt and his waistcoat. I used the Black Snail Georgian Mens Waistcoat pattern for the vest and followed The Modern Maker's Regency Mens shirt tutorial for the shirt. For pockets I followed the instructions for a welt pocket in Classic Tailoring Techniques for Menswear which is the main textbook we used in my tailoring class in grad school! It is super useful and I highly recommend it for anyone who wants to get into tailoring, just make sure you get the newer edition because it has photographs rather than drawings and is a lot easier to follow.
