Sewer Shark is a first-person rail shooter video game, and is the first on a home console to use full motion video for its primary gameplay. It was originally slated to be the flagship product in Hasbro's Control-Vision video game system, which would use VHS tapes as its medium.

Sonic Adventure is a 1998 platformer developed by sonic team and published by Sega for the Dreamcast. It was the first sonic game to feature 3D gameplay. It follows Sonic the hedgehog, Tails, Kunckles, amy rose and big the cat in their quests to collect the Chaos emeralds and stop Dr. Robotnick from unleashing Chaos, an ancient evil. Controlling one of the six characters—each with their own abilities—players complete levels to progress the story. Sonic Adventure retains many elements from prior Sonic games, such power-ups and the ring based healt system. Players can play minigames such as racing and interact with Chao, a virtual pet for the dreamcast peripheral, the VMU.

PaRappa the Rapper is a rhythm game in which the main character, PaRappa, must make his way through each of the games six stages by rapping. As the teacher raps, a bar at the top of the screen will appear, showing symbols that match up to the teachers lyrics.
