Use a strip pack to create this woven wonder. You can bind the edges for easy coasters, placemats, and table runners, or use to create stylish tech pouches for your tablet, laptop or phone (extra credit if you sew a clutch!).
You can even make a beautiful bath or door mat—simply baste a layer of no-slip drawer liner to the back, and bind as usual.
This mat whips up in an afternoon (yes, really!).
MATERIALS:
• Fabric strip pack (we used a 24-pack)
• 1/2 yd fleece batting, cut into 1/2" strips, crosswise (cut from selvage to selvage)
• Shape Cut Plus ruler
• Fasturn Tube Turning Set
• Bias Tape Maker
• Fasturn Perfect Tubes Guide (and Tiger Eye gauge)
• Iron and pressing surface
• Rotary cutter and mat
• Tear-away stabilizer (paper will work in this case, too)
