The seventh 777-9 takes flight with #TeamBoeing for the first time. Test teams will prepare this airplane to conduct Extended Operations (ETOPS) testing.

🕒 Seven's first flight lasted ~3 hours with most of it occurring over Washington, Idaho and Oregon.

🌎Next: ETOPS certification means airlines can choose faster, more fuel-efficient paths over oceans and remote areas because they can safely operate at distances from diversion airports.

📝 The 777-9 test fleet has logged over 4,800 flight test hours in total
