Tabor offers a different view of the Jesus movement that shakes the established Church to its very core. This includes alternative accounts of the role of John the Baptist, the Last Supper, Resurrection and expected End Times scenario. Tabor also argues that Jesus intended his successor to be a member of the bloodline of King David, not the apostolic successor of the Bishop of Rome.
