I just checked and my last cloning video was posted in September 2022 — so more than three years ago. Long overdue, right?
It's crazy to see how much has happened during the last three years for me: I bought my first house, built a proper cozy home studio, got tons of new audio and video gear, an upright piano and an upright bass, did a lot of studio work for many different clients, joined a theatre play as a musician, started giving classes and masterclasses in three different schools in Bordeaux… and had my first child. What the hell.
None of that has been reflected on my YouTube channel. Meanwhile, ten years ago I was making five videos in a month and releasing an entire album just because I changed my guitar strings lol
Somehow life got fuller and the YouTube channel got quieter... That's life I guess !
Nevertheless, I’m in a super comfortable position to be creative right now, so I’m trying to compose and make stuff just for myself.
That being said, here is a rendition of one of my favorite tracks by one of my (still) favorite bands: Esbjörn Svensson Trio. This band was a huge influence on me even before Tigran Hamasyan somewhat became my main influence. It's probably the band that made me dive into jazz when I was 18 or 19.
So yeah… a long-overdue tribute.
I'm experimenting again with video cloning. Now I can even walk past myself with the camera moving on a slider — I call that progress. More to come hopefully.
