This video talks about the specifics of setting up an Ecobee Thermostat with a Bosch BOVB 2.1 IDS heat pump to achieve proper operation and 1 run per hour as the Bosch thermostat would offer.

This is not meant to be a full explanation on everything that can be done with the Ecobee.

➡️ Minimum compressor temps:
• BOVA-15 (Light) is 5F (-15C)
• BOVB-18 (Plus) is 5F (-15C)
• BOVA-19 (Ultra) is -13F (-25C) (This thermostat uses a communicating thermostat rather than a conventional thermostat)
• BOVA-20 (Premium) is -4F (-20C)
• BOVB-20 (Premium Connected) is -4F (-20C)
• BOVC-20 (Premium) is -4F (-20C)
• BOVD-20 (Premium) is -4F (-20C)
Be sure to check the Product Specification Sheet for your compressor before setting this value. It is very important and can damage the unit if you set it too low.

Go to Settings --} System to actually enable the humidifier and set up the control scheme. I missed this. When you create a schedule you get to chose which thermostats are involved for averaging.
