Also, just after filming this video, I became aware that Winsor & Newton's burnt sienna is not actually made with a typical burnt sienna pigment – which would explain why I love it so much more than other brands! I believe it is actually a burnt orange oxide, so if you're looking for a really luminous warm brown, look for that instead. I love this pigment for underpaintings because it glows right through.
