In this video, we’ll demonstrate using the Double Cap Rivet Setting Dies in The Sailrite® HandyPress® for setting multiple sized double-cap rivets. Perfect for adding decorative hardware to a variety of leather projects, these dies deliver consistent results when installed on the HandyPress. Set the desired compression on the HandyPress by raising or lowering the upper shaft. Once it is set to your preference no further adjustments are required. Using the HandyPress, combined with these dies, it will consistently set double cap rivets in your leather or fabric assembly with a simple and easy pull of the hand lever. We call that process the "Sweet Spot" compression, similar to how a set of Vice-Grips™ work.
