✨ I'm excited to share a new video featuring the brand-new die cuts and embossing folders from Seth Apter’s latest Sizzix release!
Seth invited me to join his design team (and seriously—who can say no to Seth?), and even though I’d never used a Sizzix before, he encouraged me to bring a beginner’s perspective to the table.
Coming from a printmaking background, I’ve used large-format embossing and die cut machines, but this was my first time trying out the Sizzix—and wow, I had so much fun experimenting.
In this video, I play with copper and aluminum roofing tape (left over from a house project!) to get that beautiful distressed metal look. I also painted gold onto handmade paper using Goldens Bronze and Ara paints, let it dry completely, and then ran it through the embossing folders—what came out looks like aged metal sheets.
