In this video I'll show you how to quickly set up Visual Studio Code (VSCode) with Unity and Intellisense working properly 2022.

I also recommend disabling Telemetry in Visual Studio Code
if you do not want to send usage analytic data to VS Code:
File/Preferences/Settings (macOS: Code/Preferences/Settings), search for telemetry, and set the Telemetry: Telemetry Level setting to off. This will silence all telemetry events from VS Code going forward.

First download VS Code. Then download the .NET Core SDK from Microsoft. You also need to download the .NET Framework 4.7.1 Developer Pack for it to work properly. In Unity download the Visual Studio Code Editor package from the Package Manager. Then in Edit/Preferences set the external code editor to Unity in External Tools. Open a script in VS Code and install the C# extension. Close out of VS Code and go to Assets/Open C# Project. Intellisense should work now. And I recommend downloading the packages below as well to speed up Unity gamedev development.

Things to do if Intellisense is not working:
*Uninstall and Reinstall VS Code and .NET Packages
*Assets/Open C# Project
*Edit/Preferences/External Tools/Regenerate CSPROJ files
